We are always thinking of ideas to give to our clients to help their portrait session go better, easier, and to capture the idea they had at the beginning.
Often when we are discussing an upcoming portrait session we will ask the client if he/she would like a makeup artist to be on set. It is a larger expense certainly, we will bring in a very talented and skilled expert in makeup and hair and wardrobe.
Here I have a before and after example. We did the left portrait first and stopped the session to discuss makeup and styling. Our client consulted with our makeup artist and planned an outfit. Then the day of the shoot the makeup artist was present to do makeup and watch the images being shot into he computer where the could comment and address right on set. From the hair part to falling over one shoulder, adjusting until we got our strongest result.
