People often have asked me, "When you are not doing Corporate Photography, do you still do photography in your free time?" I say "Yes!" I totally still get excited about creating new images. I also do photography for my release time or sanity time. Few things beat a quite walk along the river early in the morning, hoping to photograph a new bird. Birds move so fast that I often I don't have any idea of what I got until I get back home and load the images into Capture One, my RAW image processor, and start looking over the images from the mornings walk. Here is a photograph of a handsome bird that I found in the Chinese Pistachio tree growing in the parking lot of my studio. I was having a hard time identifying it, and had to resort to an online program that let's you upload the bird you are trying to identify. I had never identified a "Yellow Rumped Warbler" and I couldn't have done it with The Cornell Lab application called Merlin.
