For the Birds.

Sometimes the birds come to you, it when opportunity meets preparedness. I drove back from an errand to my back gate of my studio and a hawk was busy searching for something. I was able to get the camera on him without him taking flight. This is a Red Shoulder Hawk, he's a juvenile I believe and he wasn't as alarmed about my presence as I expected. Also I stayed in the car, only allowing the lens out the window to photograph him. He is in my Chinese Pastachio Tree in the back parking lot of my studio. I have photographed other birds in this tree but I never expected to get such a closeup view of a Hawk just hanging out, well hunting in my parking lot.
